Work with PDFs, privately

PDFBloom is a set of small, fast PDF tools that run entirely inside your browser. Merge several documents into one, pull out the pages you need, turn pages into images, reorder and rotate pages, or convert Word, Excel, text and Markdown files to PDF — all without uploading anything. Because the files are processed on your own device, even confidential contracts, statements and scans stay completely private.

Merge PDF

Drop two or more PDFs, arrange them in the order you want, and download a single combined file. It's perfect for joining scanned pages, bundling invoices, or assembling a report from parts.

Type a page range like 1-3, 5, 8-10 to pull just those pages into a new PDF, or split a document so every page becomes its own file, delivered together in a ZIP.

Word, Excel, text & Markdown to PDF

Drop a Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), CSV, plain text or Markdown file and PDFBloom renders it and saves it as a PDF — right in your browser, with nothing uploaded. Text, tables and basic formatting come across well; because the rendering happens locally rather than on Microsoft's or a server's engine, very complex layouts may not match exactly.

How to merge PDF files for free

Open the Merge tab, drop in two or more PDFs, then drag the thumbnails so the files are in the order you want. Click Merge and download one combined PDF. Because the files are joined locally, the pages keep their original quality and nothing is uploaded.

Extract or delete specific pages

To keep only certain pages, use the Split / Extract tab and type a range like 2-5, 8 to save just those pages. To remove pages instead, open the Organize tab, delete the ones you do not want, and download the rest as a new PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?

No. Every file is processed locally in your browser. Your PDFs are never uploaded, stored or sent to a server, which makes PDFBloom safe even for private or sensitive documents.

Is it free? Is there a file-size limit?

It is completely free with no sign-up. You can process as many files as you like; the only practical limit is your device's memory, since everything runs on your own machine.

How do I choose which pages to extract?

In the Split / Extract tab, type page numbers and ranges separated by commas, for example 1-3, 5, 8-10. Those pages are copied into a new PDF in the order you list them.

Can I convert a PDF to JPG or PNG?

Yes. The PDF → Images tab renders each page as a JPG or PNG. Choose a higher resolution for sharper images, then download pages individually or all together as a ZIP.

Can I turn images back into a PDF?

Yes — that lives in our sister tool ImageBloom, which can combine JPG, PNG and WebP images into a single PDF.

Can I convert a Word or Excel file to PDF?

Yes. The "To PDF" tab converts Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), CSV, plain text (.txt) and Markdown (.md) files into PDF, all inside your browser with nothing uploaded. Text, tables and basic formatting are preserved well; since the document is rendered locally rather than by Microsoft Office, very complex layouts may differ slightly.

What about PowerPoint (.pptx) or Hangul (.hwp / .hwpx)?

Those aren't supported, on purpose. Converting PowerPoint and Hangul files accurately needs a server-based office engine, and uploading your files to a server would break the promise that everything stays on your device. PDFBloom deliberately offers only the formats that can be converted entirely in your browser — Word, Excel, CSV, text and Markdown. To turn a PowerPoint or HWP file into a PDF, use "Save as PDF" or "Print to PDF" in PowerPoint or Hangul first.

Does it work with password-protected PDFs?

Encrypted PDFs need to be unlocked first. If a file is password-protected, open it in your PDF viewer, remove the password (or print to a new PDF), then use PDFBloom on the unprotected copy.

Will merging or splitting reduce the quality?

No. Pages are copied exactly as they are, so text stays sharp and selectable and images are not re-compressed. The result is the same quality as the originals.

Can I reorder pages before merging?

Yes. After adding your files you can drag the thumbnails into any order, and in the Organize tab you can rotate or rearrange individual pages before saving.

Does it work on iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows?

Yes. PDFBloom runs in any modern browser, so it works the same on phones, tablets and computers — there is nothing to install and no account to create.
